Hobbylu launches Special Needs Category; Expands Product Portfolio

Dec.3, 2017: In a move to help differently abled people reachout to professionally trained hobby trainers for holistic development, Hobbylu launched Special Needs category on International Day of Persons with Disabilities (Dec.3), thereby taking a step forward in its policy towards inclusion. The geo location based app will help users identify certified educationist in Special Needs with a focus on language, speech, communications, fitness through yoga, dance and music nearby.

"Parents of differently abled children find it difficult to access quality certified trainers for extra curricular activites which is essential for their holistic development, at doorstep. Through our endeavour we are looking at providing easy access to quality trainers,"  said Pratibha Rathore, Founder, Hobbylu -hobbies and experiences discover platform.

Within the next 6-months, the company aims to connect over 1000 trained special educators with the community seeking special needs.

 

The Hindu's Cookery King Grand Finale on Nov.12

Hobbylu is proud to present the Grand Finale of The Hindu Metro Plus initiaitve "Cookery King contest."This Sunday (Nov.12), the top nine male finalist of Cookery King - Men's special contest by Hindu Metro Plus in categories --Non vegetarian section; Vegetarian section & Desserts section --will be dishing out yummylicious cuisine & vying for the top slot. The stakes are high. It will be interesting to watch the combat, albeit of a different kind.The top finalists are:

Hobbylu Collaborates with The Hindu for Cookery King Contest

Nov.02, 2017: The Hindu Group is organising first of its kind event- Cookery King 2017 - contest in Hyderabad on Nov.4,2017. Hobbylu is the community partner for the event. Close to 180 participants are said to have registered for the event so far. The event will not just showcase the culinary skills of the participants (men; not professional chef) but will also dwell upon fitness and nutrition tips for participating adults. The registration for the Cookery King contest is free. The prelimimary round is on Nov.4,2017, followed by the grand finale on Nov.12, with entries being accepted in three categories - Vegetarian, Non-vegetarian, and Desert.

This is a unique initiative by "The Hindu" to explore the hidden talent of cooking in men. “This is a perfect platform for men (non-professionals in cooking) to explore their cooking talent and to showcase their culinary skills, and also get a chance to win the prize money of Rs.50,000. Cooking a growing passion in men in the recent times with varying reasons.Men are more comfortable in accepting their love for cooking and taking it ahead in their day to day life,"informed a company official.

Selected men from the prelimimary round will be eligible to showcase their talent in a live cooking show on 12th November 2017 and the winner will be awarded the title of 'the King of Cookery' in Hyderabad.The Event is scheduled to take place at the KCP Mercure hotel at Banjara hills.

Hobbylu Launches Make Women Stronger Initiative

Applauds Hyderabad Police SHE Run’s Be Bold Campaign

Hyderabad, March 4, 2017: Hobbylu, the largest hobby discovery platform, launches an eight weeks long - “Make Women Strong” - campaign under which it will provide free martial arts workshop for women and children in urban localities and schools within the twin city, in a move to support and applaud Hyderabad Police SHE Team’s run and commemorate International Women’s day.

The initiative is aimed at creating awareness regarding women safety and child abuse. Under the Make Women Strong campaign, for a two-month period (March-April 2017), Hobbylu will conduct self-defence workshops in shortlisted communities, reaching out to 20,000-30,000 women and children.

As part of its corporate social responsibility initiative, Hobbylu aims to equip women and children across various communities identified within the twin city with self defence techniques through free martial art camps, thereby empower women and children to safeguard themselves.

“Women and child safety is a major cause for concern in our society today and we want women to make good use of technology for personal safety. We applaud Hyderabad’s She Team’s initiative to create awareness about personal safety.
